Build 308 release notes

Live routines, a real Activity history, useful care notifications and stronger household isolation in the current internal TestFlight candidate.

Internal TestFlightSource eabc283e0e69Build 170 remains the UAT baseline
Release summary. Build 308 completes the current live-care and UI handoff: scheduled feeding, medication, walks and let-outs now flow into Home, Activity and care notifications; pet photos, personal nicknames and personality are easier to reach; and household transitions have new safeguards against stale data, permissions, reminders and widgets.

What changed

Activity and history

  • Activity uses live household events.
  • Feed History, Calendar, Insights and Moments are connected.
  • Pet cards open Activity with that pet selected.
  • Past care can be logged with an adjusted date and time.

Routines and schedules

  • Feeding, medication, walk and let-out routines persist.
  • Changes synchronise between devices and queue while offline.
  • Today reflects actual scheduled care.
  • Multiple daily occurrences complete independently.

Care notifications

  • Home opens a populated care inbox with an unread count.
  • Alerts come from live feeding and medication schedules.
  • Dismissals survive restart.
  • Reminder state follows routine and household changes.

Household safety

  • Previous realtime subscriptions are torn down on switch.
  • Late events from the old household are rejected.
  • Members, owner permissions, reminders and widgets are revalidated.
  • Rapid switching has additional lifecycle protection.

Pet identity

  • Pet-photo management is closer to the approved design.
  • Personal nicknames sit alongside the selected photo.
  • A personal nickname does not rename the shared household pet.
  • Personality information and the quiz live in the pet profile journey.

Navigation and access

  • Pet identity routes consistently into Activity.
  • The selected pet carries into the destination.
  • VoiceOver receives one clear Activity action.
  • Helper Home uses the active household policy.

Key tests to run first

These are the focused Build 308 checks. They supplement the canonical 19-row UAT ledger; recording one of these observations does not by itself mark a canonical row as passed.

  1. Switch back: join an invited household, switch back to the primary household, restart the app and confirm the primary household remains selected.
  2. Rapid switching: switch repeatedly and confirm pets, members, Home cards, widget and notifications always belong to the selected household.
  3. Invited-member permissions: test whether an invited family member or helper can change the shared main pet photo only when that role should be allowed.
  4. Personal identity: change a personal pet photo and nickname and confirm the shared household name and main photo do not change unexpectedly.
  5. Personality: complete the quiz from the pet profile journey and confirm the result survives an app restart.
  6. Two-device routines: create or edit feeding, medication, walk and let-out schedules, then confirm the second device receives the same plan.
  7. Correct occurrence: log multiple feeds or medication doses on one day and confirm only the intended scheduled occurrence completes.
  8. Live surfaces: confirm Activity, Calendar, Insights, Moments and the notification inbox show real household data.
  9. Dismissal persistence: dismiss a care alert, restart and confirm it remains dismissed.
  10. VoiceOver: confirm pet-to-Activity navigation is announced once and all care controls remain independently usable.

Release and acceptance boundary

Build 308 is available for internal testing; it is not yet an accepted UAT baseline. Build 170 remains the selected baseline in the private ledger until reviewed physical-device evidence and the required sign-offs deliberately replace it.

The status site publishes tester-safe progress and aggregate issue activity. Detailed issue reports, ownership and triage remain in the private trackers.
